Q. Why bother getting my chimney swept?
A. Burning any type of fuel including wood, coal, biomass and gas produces emissions. These range from oily, sooty deposits to tears and creosote. These will eventually cost the chimney in a highly volatile substance which, if not cleaned off will catch fire.
Q. How often should my chimney be swept?
A. All chimneys should be swept at least once a year. It may be necessary to have your chimney swept up to 4 times a year depending on the use and type of fuel you use.
